2023 will be a year of travel and adventure, and with that, the Virgin Atlantic has announced that their airline will start operating flights to the Maldives islands. From London Heathrow, Virgin Atlantic will begin a three-times-weekly winter seasonal service. For flights starting on October 22, 2023, tickets will be available for purchase on November 30, 2022.
Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, expressed the joy of the airline for these new flights and the reasons it selected the Maldives as its newest tropical location. As Jarvinen said has said: “The Maldives has always been an incredibly popular destination for Virgin Atlantic Holidays customers, which is why we couldn’t wait to give them the opportunity to travel to the idyllic location in style onboard Virgin Atlantic aircraft”.
It is important to note that for the Maldives operations, Virgin Atlantic will also be using Boeing 787 Dreamliners with 192 economy delight, classic, and light seats, 31 upper class seats, 35 premium seats, and 35 business class seats.
