In a demonstration of their unwavering commitment to sustainability, the newly constructed Nova Maldives resort will be joining forces to celebrate Earth Hour 2023. The global event, set to take place on Saturday, 25th March, will be marked by a unique and engaging experience for guests staying at the resort.
During Earth Hour, which runs from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm, all the lights in the resort will be turned off, and commemorative events will take place on the beach. The celebration will kick off with a symbolic fire lighting of the Earth Hour 60+ logo, representing hope and unity in the effort to save our planet. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a special barefoot dinner on the beach under the soft glow of candlelight, accompanied by live music and the stunning backdrop of the flaming logo and a starry sky. Additionally, the resort is offering an astronomy experience during the hour, where guests can participate in a stargazing session on the beach with an Astro guide to learn about the Maldivian night sky and its celestial bodies.
The Nova brand has always prioritized environmental stewardship, responsible tourism, and supporting a sustainable future. To achieve these goals, the resort has implemented various green initiatives, such as Flora & Fauna workshops and Coral Frame Sponsorship Programs. Nova Maldives has also collaborated with conservation groups such as the Maldives Whale Shark Research Program and showcased Maldivian culture and heritage by hosting a range of events.
Through these endeavors, the resort is committed to reducing its environmental impact in the Maldives, promoting mindfulness, and preserving the natural beauty of the islands. This approach ensures that Nova is protecting the unique ecosystem and delicate ecoculture of the Maldives, safeguarding it for future generations.
