Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa Appoints Hassan Shareef as New Director of Human Resources

MALDIVES, October 2024 – Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is pleased to announce

the appointment of Hassan Shareef as the new Director of Human Resources, effective 6 October

2024. Shareef brings with him over 17 years of extensive experience in the hospitality industry,

specializing in employee engagement, talent management, and organizational development.

In his new role, Shareef will be responsible for spearheading initiatives to enhance the employee

experience and support the resort’s ongoing commitment to excellence across all departments.

His leadership is expected to play a vital role in fostering a positive work environment, driving

innovation, and further elevating the resort’s status as a premier destination.

Shareef joins the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa from JA Manafaru Maldives, where

he held the position of Director of Talent & Culture. He began his career as an HR coordinator at

Kurumba Maldives in 2007, and over the years, he has made notable contributions to prestigious

resorts such as Huvafen Fushi Maldives and Amilla Maldives Resorts. His expertise in developing

and implementing HR strategies has been instrumental in improving employee engagement, talent

development, and performance management.

Throughout his career, Shareef has earned several accolades, including the prestigious

'Manager of the Year' award in 2016, recognition as the 'Most Active Member' of the year in

2010, and the title of 'Leader of the Year 2022' at Amilla Maldives Resorts & Residences.

Currently, he is pursuing a master's degree in Travel & Tourism Hospitality, further enhancing his

leadership and expertise in the field.
