On October 28, 2024, Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) hosted 40 students from Ghiyassuddin International School for an educational visit to its facilities at Velana International Airport. This unique experience gave the students an exclusive look at the operations of the world’s largest seaplane operator.
During the visit, the students toured TMA’s cutting-edge Noovilu Seaplane Terminal and participated in a series of informative sessions led by professionals from various departments, including Business Development, Human Resources, Safety & Security, Quality & Compliance, Aircraft Maintenance, and Flight Operations. These discussions provided the students with valuable insights into the day-to-day functions and operations within the aviation industry.
One of the highlights of the visit was an engaging Q&A session, where the students had the opportunity to interact directly with TMA experts. This exchange helped them learn more about different career paths in aviation, the qualifications needed for various roles, and the potential opportunities available to them in the future.
As part of its commitment to youth development, TMA regularly partners with schools across the Maldives to raise awareness of career opportunities in the tourism and aviation sectors. Through these educational initiatives, TMA hopes to inspire the next generation of Maldivians to pursue careers in these dynamic industries.
Trans Maldivian Airways continues to be dedicated to supporting future generations by offering meaningful educational programs, further strengthening its role in the Maldivian aviation and tourism sectors
