Visit Maldives, the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), has officially unveiled ‘The World’s Biggest Giveaway’ campaign, offering 52 free holidays—one for each week of 2025. The exciting initiative, which was announced during the World Travel Market (WTM) in London on November 5, 2024, invites global travelers to participate in a year-long series of social media contests.
Each month, four winners will be selected to receive a free holiday package to the Maldives. The 52 contests will highlight various aspects of the Maldives, including its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, vibrant culture, and diverse marine life. The campaign will also focus on specific travel segments such as romance, luxury, family vacations, diving, and wellness, showcasing the wide range of experiences the Maldives offers to all types of travelers.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to explore the Maldives and promote the Sunny Side of Life as a year-round destination,” said Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO and Managing Director of MMPRC. “Anyone from anywhere in the world can take part and have a chance to win a dream holiday in the Maldives.”
The World’s Biggest Giveaway aims to increase global awareness of the Maldives as a premier travel destination, engage travel enthusiasts through active social media participation, and encourage visitors to learn more about the country’s diverse tourism offerings. The campaign also serves to position the Maldives as a destination that caters to a wide range of interests, from luxury getaways to eco-tourism and wellness retreats.
Visit Maldives continues to invest in promoting sustainable tourism and highlighting emerging segments, including film tourism and wellness tourism, which will play a central role in its 2025 marketing plans.
