Gulf Air has been Awarded the Highly Coveted Skytrax Five Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating

Gulf Air, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s official carrier, has obtained the Skytrax Five Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating. The rating reflects Gulf Air’s success in flying safely throughout the pandemic and improving its airport and onboard practices to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Skytrax Research, the industry’s most respected research and quality advisors with over 30 years of experience in the field and situated in London, United Kingdom, awarded this rating.

The COVID-19 Airline Safety Audit investigates and evaluates over 190 safety and hygiene protocols implemented by airlines during COVID-19 to improve customer and staff safety, including social distancing standards, the efficacy of cleaning systems across both airport and onboard environments, and all associated measures to improve hygiene protection.
